Shops: your catalogue on Build My Rig
Build My Rig is a sim racing hardware price comparison site. I list shops for free: I read your prices and stock on your site, compare them with the other shops', and every offer leads straight to your product page.
In short
- What it is: a free listing, with no contract and no exclusivity: your products, prices and stock, each with a direct link to your pages.
- What it costs: nothing. I charge for neither the listing, nor the ranking, nor the clicks.
- What you have to do: nothing. An affiliate link or a promo code is optional.
What Build My Rig does with your catalogue
Each product you sell joins its catalogue page, next to the other shops that sell it, with your price, your stock and a direct link to your product page. I read your prices and stock every 6 hours.
A real price drop shows on Promos: when a product's best price falls at least 5% under the lowest seen 7 to 45 days earlier, or becomes a new low at least 5% under its usual price (the median of the last 90 days) with no rise just before. A price raised and then marked down does not make it. The deal names the shop that sells at that price; a product back in stock shows there too.
Members share their builds: each part of a build leads to its product page, and so to the offers of the shops that sell it.
In figures, as of 4 November 2026
- 80 shops listed (at least one offer read in the last 7 days)
- 38,400 live offers, read in the last 7 days
- 7,135 products in the catalogue
- 238 builds shared by the community
What Build My Rig sends you
From 27 October 2026 to 4 November 2026, 179 people clicked from Build My Rig through to a shop: 665 clicks, on 324 different products.
I only count the clicks made on the site's pages: a robot that opens a link directly is not counted, and one person counts once (their account, else their shortened IP address). The figure errs low rather than high. The count covers the last 30 days, and nothing before 27 October 2026, the day I started telling them apart.
I see the clicks, not your sales: with an affiliate link, your programme counts the sales. On request, I give you the same count for your shop.
How it works
How I read your prices
I read what your shop publishes: your platform's public interface (Shopify, WooCommerce) or your product pages, every 6 hours. Nothing to install, nothing to send: I import no feed and no CSV file. An offer missing from your site for 7 days is no longer shown.
A wrong price, products to remove
Write to me with the link to the Build My Rig page and to your product page: I find where the gap comes from and fix it. You can also ask me to remove some products, or your whole shop.
Delivery, VAT and countries
Each visitor sees the prices of their country: your price before tax, converted to euros if needed, plus the VAT of their country, shown in their currency. Every offer is compared on the same basis, in 34 countries and 14 currencies.
The shops that deliver to the visitor's country come first, the others in a separate section. The countries you deliver to are read on each pass from your checkout's list (Shopify shops), otherwise from the ones you announce. Shipping is the visitor's option: I estimate it from your published terms (flat rate, free shipping threshold, weight), and your rates per country, if you send them, make it more precise.
Shops outside Europe
Build My Rig is not for Europe only: prices are shown for the 27 countries of the European Union and for 7 other countries: Switzerland, United Kingdom, Norway, United States, Canada, Australia and Japan. A buyer in Canada or the United States sees the shops that deliver to them first, in Canadian or US dollars, before sales tax.
Your prices in dollars, pounds or another currency are converted at the European Central Bank's reference rate. If your checkout to the European Union does not collect VAT, your offer says so to European buyers ("Import VAT and fees paid on delivery") and its price already includes the VAT of their country, the one they pay on delivery; customs duties, if any, are not included.
A country outside this list has no prices of its own on the site yet: its buyers see another country's.
Affiliation and promo codes
Both are optional. If you run an affiliate programme, the links to your shop carry it, and the commission is your programme's, on the sales it credits to me. I charge shops nothing: not the listing, not the ranking, not the clicks.
A promo code shows on the product pages, in the list of offers: it is applied at checkout when your shop takes it in a link, otherwise copied for the visitor as they leave for your shop. It is also listed among the promo codes. Neither affiliation nor a code changes the ranking.
Ranking
A product's offers are ranked by price, with the same VAT for all, the shops that deliver to the visitor's country first. No payment or partnership changes that order. The details are on the page Listing and ranking.
Shop space
A private space, in testing and free, is open on request: your competitors' prices and stock on your products.
Questions shops asked
How do I get my shop listed? I can send you a feed or a CSV file.
Send me your shop's address, that's all. I read your catalogue online, as for the other shops: I import no feed and no CSV. The choice of shops is editorial: a real catalogue of sim racing hardware, and prices I can read reliably.
What are the terms?
There are none: the listing is free, with no contract and no exclusivity, and depends on no partnership. An affiliate link or a promo code is the only thing I ask for, and it stays optional.
I have no affiliate programme: is that a problem?
No. Your products are listed and ranked like the other shops'; the links to your site simply go without tracking.
I have a second shop, in another country or on another domain: can it be listed too?
Yes. Each shop is listed on its own, with its prices, its currency and the countries it delivers to.
My market is North America: is Build My Rig only for Europe?
No. Each visitor sees the shops that deliver to their country first, in their currency: a Canadian or US buyer sees your offer among those that deliver to them, in dollars, before sales tax. You do not need to ship to Europe.
I only deliver within my country, outside Europe: is it worth it?
It depends on the country. The site shows its prices for 34 countries: the 27 of the European Union and 7 others (Switzerland, United Kingdom, Norway, United States, Canada, Australia and Japan). If yours is one of them, its buyers see your offer among those that deliver to them. If not, they see another country's prices, and your offer only shows among the shops that do not deliver to them.
My shop takes no payment online: can a promo code work?
Yes. Build My Rig sells nothing: it sends the buyer to your product page, and the code is entered on your site. On Shopify, a code created in your admin applies to the order whatever the payment method, bank transfer or cash on delivery.
Do we need to send you our shipping rates?
No, it is optional. The countries you deliver to are read from your checkout (Shopify shops), otherwise from the ones you announce. Shipping, which the visitor chooses to include or not, is estimated from your published terms; your rates per country make it more precise.
Our European buyers pay VAT and import fees on delivery: is that shown?
Yes. When your checkout to the European Union does not collect VAT, your offer reads "Import VAT and fees paid on delivery", and its price already includes the VAT of the buyer's country, the one they will pay on delivery. Customs duties, if any, are not included. If your checkout changes, let me know.
One of our products is shown wrong (wrong page, wrong variant, picture): what should we do?
Write to me with the link to the Build My Rig page and to your product page, and I fix it. Names and pictures come from your pages and the brands': you have nothing to provide.
