Terms of use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of buildmyrig.gg ("Build My Rig"), published by GAETAN KURZAWA, a French SARL registered with the Créteil Trade and Companies Register under number 987 886 199 (see the Legal Notice). Using the site means you accept these Terms; by creating an account, you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

The site is free and open to everyone. Some features require an account. We do our best to keep the site available but cannot guarantee it: it may be interrupted, in particular for maintenance.

• You can create an account with an email address and password, or with Google. You must be at least 16 years old.
• Provide accurate information, keep your password confidential and tell us about any unauthorised use. Activity on your account is presumed to be yours.
• The same account also gives access to Race Companion (racecompanion.app), published by the same company. The data each service uses is described in its own privacy policy.
• You can delete your account at any time from your member area. Deletion is permanent and covers both services: your Build My Rig profile and content, your Race Companion data and the shared sign-in are all erased.

• Price comparison for sim racing hardware across online retailers.
• A builder to put together and price a setup.
• Community builds and public profiles: photos, videos, description and, if you choose, approximate location and contact details.
• Member interactions: likes, comments and following builds.
• Price and stock alerts, with notifications on the site, by email or in your browser.
• Second-hand hardware listings between members.
• Promo codes, deals, articles and tools (quiz, compatibility).

Prices and availability come from the retailers’ websites and are checked regularly. They are indicative: only the price shown by the retailer when you order is binding. Prices are calculated from the retailer’s price excluding tax and the VAT rate of your country, which can create a small difference with the price shown by the retailer. They do not include delivery costs.

Build My Rig does not sell any product. Every order is placed directly with the retailer, which sets its terms (delivery, returns, warranties).

Some links to retailers are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking, Build My Rig may receive a commission from the retailer. It changes neither the price you pay nor the ranking of offers.

Promo codes come from retailers or from partner content creators. Their conditions and validity depend on the retailer: Build My Rig does not guarantee that a code will work.

The Second-hand section lets members post listings to sell their hardware. The sale is made directly between buyer and seller: Build My Rig is not the seller, does not handle payment, does not guarantee the transaction and takes no commission on these sales.

The section is reserved for private individuals selling their own hardware. The seller is solely responsible for the listing: accurate description and photos, the right to sell the item, compliance with the law. Counterfeit, stolen or dangerous items are prohibited.

You are responsible for what you publish: builds, photos, videos, descriptions, comments, listings and profile information. You must hold the rights to this content and have the consent of anyone recognisable in your photos and videos.

You keep ownership of your content. So that we can display it, you grant GAETAN KURZAWA SARL a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, limited to what running the site requires: hosting, reproducing, technically adapting (resizing, compressing) and displaying your content on Build My Rig, its share pages and its embeddable widgets. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account. Any other use, for example in a video or on social media, will be subject to your prior permission.

Information you make public (username, photos, build, approximate location, contact details) is visible to all visitors and may be indexed by search engines. You can change or remove it at any time.

You must not:

• publish illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, pornographic or violent content;
• infringe other people’s rights (copyright, trademarks, image rights, privacy), in particular by publishing someone else’s personal data;
• impersonate a person or a brand;
• post spam, unauthorised advertising or misleading listings;
• collect the site’s data by automated means, get around its technical limits or disrupt it;
• create an account to get around a suspension.

Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or breaks these Terms by writing to contact@buildmyrig.gg. What a notice should contain is listed in the Legal Notice. We acknowledge every notice, review it diligently and tell the reporter what we decided.

If content is illegal or breaks these Terms, we may remove it or limit its visibility, restrict features, or suspend or close the account. Measures are proportionate to the seriousness and repetition of the breach.

When we take such a measure, we tell you by email, unless the law prevents it, with the measure taken, the facts, its ground (legal provision or article of these Terms) and how to contest it.

Moderation is carried out by the publisher. No moderation decision is made by an automated tool; technical limits (request rates, file sizes) protect the site against abuse. To contest a decision, reply to our email or write to contact@buildmyrig.gg; you can also go to court.

The site’s structure, design, text and software belong to GAETAN KURZAWA SARL unless stated otherwise. Product names, trademarks, images and descriptions belong to their respective owners.

Information on the site is provided for guidance and may contain errors. Build My Rig is not liable for transactions made with retailers or between members, nor for the content of third-party websites. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

We may update these Terms as the site or the law changes. The version in force is the one on this page, with its update date. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.

These Terms are governed by French law. If you have a problem, write to us first at contact@buildmyrig.gg so we can look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute goes to the competent court under the ordinary rules. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
